THOUGHTS  ABOUT  ADVOCACY
________________________________________________________________________________

Per capita, CT has one of the highest rates of educational lawsuits in the United States.

It’s unfortunate that money spent on legal fees is not spent on resources.

Too often parents, teachers and administrators have inaccurate and/or incomplete information
which leads to unrealistic and/or inappropriate expectations (too high or too low), judgement and blame.

As a school psychologist I work to facilitate communication, understanding and respect among all parties, aiming for conflict resolution regarding eligibility for special services and intervention to meet student needs.
